The title of Duke or Duchess (Rank 1, Greater Nobility) is granted at the Township Level. To claim this noble position, the applicant must first apply for general admission to the noble class. The wife of a Duke is automatically called a Duchess, however where a Duchess holds the title in her own right, her husband would not automatically share the title. Only a Duke or Duchess may nominate other nobles to membership in the new American Aristocracy. Information required for registry include the names and address of the claimant, the Township, the County, and the State of the Dukedom or Duchy.
If the Duke or Duchess wishes to have his or her picture and a description included in the Official National Peerage Registry such information should also be provided. All terminology, definitions, and descriptions of Nobility will be determined solely by the Official National Peerage Registry, which has absolute authority in these matters. Sons and daughters of a Duke are known by an honorary title of "Lord First Name" or "Lady First Name." An eldest son may hold some lesser title given by tradition in the family to the heir. The degree of that Title would depend upon the Titles available to the family and approval of the Official National Peerage Registry - it would not necessarily be the degree immediately beneath the rank of Duke. No Title of Nobility above that of Duke will ever be issued or approved by the Official National Peerage Registry. While a sitting titled noble may designate an titular heir, all hereditary Titles of Nobility must be approved and registered by the Official National Peerage Registry.
A dukedom is the highest non-royal title in the British peerage and the highest rank of nobility granted by the National Peerage in the new American Aristocracy. Dukes are technically 'princes' and although at first sight it seems that in this country a prince is higher in rank, it must be remembered that Royal children are born princes but are raised to the rank of Duke, there being a number of dukedoms used exclusively by royalty - Edinburgh, York, Gloucester, Kent, Sussex and Clarence being examples.
Heraldically a duke is denoted by his coronet which displays strawberry leaves only on a circlet. The helmet on his arms, as in the case of other peers, faces left and has a closed grill vizor. A duke is addressed as His Grace, a privilege which he shares only with the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.
For a limited time the peerage registration fee is on sale for 25% off!
We are unable to process your application for a Duchy without first receiving your nobility application answers. This is a real peerage system in which the application is a necessary first step to ensure that all members of this new peerage have a suitably noble outlook and do not regard nobility as a lark. There is considerable room for disagreement on particular questions, and it is possible to "pass" with as many as 20 points off our agreed upon "ideal" answers. If an applicant gets less than 30 points off he or she can take a second examination for no additional fee.
Our titles of nobility are specific to this country and unique to a particular geographical region. If you are the Duchess of Newark, New Jersey, you are the ONLY Duchess of Newark, New Jersey. Again, thank you for your interest in the new American Aristocracy.

NOTE: The titles confirmed by the Official National Peerage Registry should not be confused with any granted by a monarch of the British Realm or any other nation state with Princes, a King, or Queen. Furthermore, beware of purchasing FAKE British titles. You cannot purchase a genuine British title anywhere, with the one exception of a feudal title of a Scottish baron; and you certainly cannot buy a real British peerage title.
